Adams House – Fair Haven, VT

The Adams House Affordable Housing Project took place in 2 historic structures located at the south end of Main Street Park in Fair Haven, VT - The Marble Building (Known as the Adams House - 7 Units) and the Carriage Barn (6 Units). This occupied housing rehabilitation started in December of 2015 and was completed the following summer. A new pellet boiler was installed in the Adams House to serve all 13 units. Energy upgrades were made at both basement and attic spaces with blown cellulose, spray foam, and rigid insulation. New LED light fixtures were installed throughout the entire complex. A thorough "face-lift" was given to all 13 units, including kitchen cabinets, carpet, sheet vinyl, and vinyl plank, as well as new paint throughout. Site improvements included storm water management, additional poured concrete stairs to accommodate residents and asphalt paving to the lower parking lot.
