Private Residence – Rutland, VT

In the fall of 2013 Naylor & Breen was selected to be the construction manager for the removal of an existing home, and construction of a new 7,500 square foot home. This new home exemplifies Naylor & Breen’s in house ability for quality site-work, concrete, carpentry, roofing, and cabinetry.

This high-end home boasts R-30 walls and an R-70 roof, combined with a Tremco air barrier system to the exterior sheathing resulting in a super high performance home. The interior casework package was provided by Naylor & Breen’s custom cabinet shop, Hawk Hill, was installed by Naylor & Breen’s finish carpenters. The mechanical and electrical systems were a design build package that Naylor & Breen worked closely with the owner and architect to solicit proposals from qualified sub-contractors. This process allowed the owners to play a role in the selections process while also keeping the process competitive and interactive for the client. This home turned out to be a passion for the owners. They visited the site weekly and played an extremely active role in almost every decision. This took patience and careful orchestration of the entire project team to make the owners wishes become a reality. The end result is a home that both the owners and Naylor & Breen are extremely proud of.
