Bristol Internal Medicine – Bristol, VT

Naylor & Breen completed the second phase of renovations at the Bristol Works! Development with a major renovation of 8,000 sq. ft. for new doctors offices for Porter Medical Center. Renovations included unique construction of a high performance thermal envelope which included adding dense pack cellulose at exterior walls and a new ceiling structure with added R-38 loose cellulose. Working with Efficiency Vermont on insulation as well as highly efficient new lighting and mechanical systems provided for incentive rebates for the Owner. The project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule thanks to careful pre-planning and selection of a strong team of subcontractors through the construction management process. Naylor & Breen's crews performed all demolition, concrete, framing and finish carpentry work. Strong site supervision with extra motivation by a shared savings clause in the contract produced appreciable savings in framing labor and other finish work being performed by Naylor & Breen. The project was completed several weeks ahead of schedule and approximately 12% under budget.
