Kazon Building – West Rutland, VT

This project consisted of interior renovations and exterior rehabilitation of an historic building in West Rutland, Vermont. The Kazon Building, originally a clothing factory, was completely gutted and renovated to create five new apartments in the upper level and one handicapped accessible apartment as well as
new headquarters for Rutland West Neighborhood Housing Services, including offices, conference rooms and educational areas, on the main level. Site work included re-building the parking area. There was extensive work to the front brick veneer and a new roof was provided. Also included was the renovation of all existing tin ceilings. Naylor & Breen's custom millwork division provided new interior storm windows throughout matching the trim to the existing windows. They also replicated existing trim at the staircases and all common areas and provided custom built-ins for the conference rooms and reception area.

Naylor & Breen also provided considerable value engineering prior to construction in order to bring the cost of this project to within the client's budget. Naylor & Breen's Custom Millwork Shop provided the cherry inlay conference table as well as the reception area desk and built-ins shown above.
